Chairman Wen Gang Calls on Togo’s President Faure
On the afternoon of May 29, Chairman Wen Gang called on Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, President of the Republic of Togo, who was paying a state visit to China, at the Embassy of Togo in China.

Chairman Wen Gang expressed warm welcome to President Faure’s visit to China and wished him a complete success of his visit to China, and also introduced the situation of CRBC’s businesses in key fields in Africa and the situation of the projects CRBC mainly tracked in Togo. He said Togo was a greatly influential country in West Africa and even the whole Africa and that CRBC had always paid attention to Togo market. At present, China kept an increasingly close relation with Togo, and CRBC was willing to actively carry out more comprehensive cooperation with the government of Togo in broader fields.
President Faure highly affirmed the long-term performance of CRBC in the production and operation and social responsibility in Togo, and made positive response to the intention of the projects CRBC mainly tracked at present. He said Togo, as the door to West Africa, had many development advantages, that the Chinese government and CRBC were committed to the infrastructure construction of Togo to help Togo develop its infrastructure, such as highways, expressways, airports and ports, and he hoped that in the future, they could get more support from China and that the government of Togo hoped to carry out deeper cooperation with CRBC.
After the meeting, in the company of Chairman Wen Gang and Vice President Wang Lijun, President Faure received 10 Togolese students studying in China fully funded by CRBC and briefly communicated with them. He said, with the financial assistance of CRBC, these Togolese students had an outstanding learning achievement and he hoped that they could become the strong force of Togo’s infrastructure construction in the future.
